The Culver Way

About Our Project

Between Sarah and Vandeventer in St. Louis’ Central West End neighborhood
Culver Way Ecovillage means families and individuals enjoying shared responsibility, creating a community that is vital, ecological and safe!

Features
We are restoring the façades and other features of three commercial buildings built in the early 1900’s, renovating a 130 year old house and building some new buildings to create three cohousing communities. We are also creating several cooperatively owned businesses that will operate at the ecovillage.

We will also have extensive shared facilities, including:

  • Kitchen
  • Dining room
  • Meditation/Yoga Room
  • Children’s playroom
  • Guestrooms
  • Laundry
  • Greenhouse
  • Sitting room
  • Possibly a Waldorf kindergarten

There will be gardens, an atrium, both shared and private courtyards, a playground and a pedestrian walkway.

The private units will have a range of floor plans, from small studios and one & two bedroom flats, to two and three bedroom townhouses.
